Helja: Artist and
Hostess
Born in
Finland.
Educated in Arts in Sweden. A lot of exhibitions in Stockholm, Sweden.
Today
Helja creates in her open air studio various kind of arts such as
watercolour, silk art, oil paintings, arts on limestone, jewelleries
made from natural materials
from the
island and so on. You can see and enjoy her work of art in the garden
restaurant.
She also hosts art vacations on the island.
Marinko: Chef since
the early 60's
Born on
the island
Drvenik, Veli, Croatia. Started as a cook at Hotel Park in Split,
Croatia. In
the late 60's he got employed by the famous restaurant
Stallmästargården, Stockholm,
Sweden. Later on he opened his own very popular restaurant
Trollet in
Stockholm and ran it for 12 years. Sold the restaurant to finally
create this
Garden-Atelje-Restaurant with his wife Helja. Nowadays he is cooking
local food
and other dalmatian specialities. He is also responsible for all
gardening and the ecological production of his own red and white wines,
flavoured grappa, gold medal
olive oil, marmalades, herbal oils and more.
